Apple season is still open...

... and a story unfolds for the hungry.

Harvest the apples, children.
Apple season is still open
and a story unfolds for the hungry.

There are more than thirty towns
named Farmington.

There are places that overflow
the map and spill, dripping
from the cartography

into the vast blue space
where compasses creak, wounded
by creatures of the deep.

Their truth is as alive
as their irreality.

(Climax Road, poema III. Traducción al inglés e imagen de la poeta americana Carina del Valle Schorske)

Thank you, Carina, for whisking me away to Farmington with this image, so evocative, and the brightness of your words.
